I'm half wanting to do the same thing with conventions, but me wanting to take photos of good costumes makes me want to keep going to them. I'm still debating on that. I just feel like I am unnecessarily spending hundreds of dollars to hang out with the friends I spend almost every weekend with over the summer.
I would rather spend my money on studio equipment to go along with my photography. I'm also an art student in college and can't afford to do this anymore.
And, no offense guys, but if people aren't cosplaying with you, you kind of tend to leave them out.
I could go into a huge rant about everything running through my head about this, but... I'd rather not. :/
On a random note, I hardly read manga or watch anime anymore. Actually, I spend about 3% (or even less) of my time watching/reading. Gurren Lagann is still my favorite, but the only series I'm keeping up with is Fairy Tail. That's it. Nothing else. I just don't care enough. :/
Perhaps I'm moving on? Realizing that there are better and bigger things in life than anime and cosplay? Can't say I'm upset about that. Deep down I feel pretty good about myself by doing so.
